Play Leaders are older pupils who have been trained to lead younger children in games and activities at lunch time. They are responsible for setting up and packing away equipment, and they help to ensure that everyone has a chance to join in. Play Leaders also play an important role in promoting fair play and good sportsmanship.

Nicky Hunt Junior Refs Academy  

As part of our commitment to developing leadership skills and positive play, our Play Leaders have received specialist training through the Nicky Hunt Junior Refs Academy. This exciting programme has helped pupils gain a deeper understanding of the rules of football while also empowering them to take on the role of referees during break and lunchtimes. By supporting younger children in understanding fair play and teamwork, our trained referees are not only promoting enjoyable and safe games but also growing in confidence, responsibility, and leadership.
